The Derek Wishart Memorial Competition was held on the 13th, 14th and 15th. This is an annual competition held between the Tooli Hounds and Gerringong Hotel Fishing Club in memory off Derek Wishart. All fish caught are donated and then auctioned off to raise money for the Ashma Foundation. We would like to thank our auctioneer Stuart Warden for helping out, it was greatly appreciated.

The weekend fishing wasn’t easy for some, but there were still alot of fisho’s who caught fish. Catches included Flathead, Snapper, Bream Rock Blackfish, Kingies and Groper. Once again the GHFC beat the Tooli Hounds. The GHFC had 1304.75pts to Tooli Hounds 1084.25pts, there is always next year guys.

We are happy to say that the fish auction raised over $1100 for the Ashma Foundation.

We would like to say a big thanks to Nick Brady for cooking up the Shark (caught by the Stalgis boys) and numerous other fish during the afternoon, it was fantastic. Also to the guys who cut all the fish up (Randall, Rob and Waggy). I’m pretty sure everybody had a great afternoon and evening for some. Let’s hope Hock has found his wallet!
